Please note that this is a beta feature. You must first turn on beta features under Preferences/Advanced to use the tools discussed in this article.
Samply now supports monetary transactions for certain asset types. Users need only create or connect a Stripe Connect account from within Samply to specify transactions and begin collecting payments!
This article will be updated with transact-able Samply assets and fulfillment actions as they become available; a complete list follows.
Unlock player downloads
Unlock player access
To create a transaction on a player, follow these steps:
Navigate to the player settings you would like to set a price for
Go to the Payments tab
Enter price
Choose the desired fulfillment action
Hit 'Set price'
Until the payment is fulfilled, viewers of the player will see a modified download button indicating the price to unlock downloads. Once the payment has been fulfilled, viewers will be able to download the player contents. Note that the existence of a payment on a player automatically turns off downloads for that player.
Until the payment is fulfilled, anyone who navigates to the player link will be greeted with a message stating "Payment is required to access this player" and a button allowing them to complete payment via Stripe. Once the payment has been fulfilled, anyone will be able to view the player and perform other actions, such as downloading or commenting, according to the player options you have configured.
